!!! BACON !!!

This explains that heavenly scent in the air today. It wafted through the truck windows as I was driving to work this a.m. (okay at 11a.m. - still morning people and still early for me) from Clarkston to Downtown Atlanta.  All along my route, I smelled bacon - now I know what people were celebrating.  How I love that delightful food and how I long to join in that celebration.  Sadly, they will not allow me to start cooking bacon at the library so I must wait until I return to the abode.

Ostara 2013

Today has been full of dandelions, egg dying, Soul Eater, and the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Chocolate Rabbit.  Tonight the Vernal Equinox continues with sleeping bags, the trampoline, a half moon ( equally full and equally dark - ya know balanced just like the equinox itself) , a fire, peep roasting and a nighttime egg hunt.  May you also enjoy a beautiful Ostara!

I have no pictures from last night, but it was wonderful.  My friends (of all ages) turned a crappy morning (truck had to be jumped twice, fight between the man and I, slight frustration and general hysteria) into a wonderfully, delightfully, spooking evening.

An historical day

We celebrated Nana's birthday with a trip to Atlanta History Center. 











We had fun walking all over and visiting different sites and ....we snagged a tour of the Swan House (no photos allowed inside) and found out they had just finished filming part of Catching Fire in one of the rooms - we all think it will be President Snow's office.

Lucy and  Nana are working on her quilt - she's making it as a gift (personally, i covet this one - wish it were for me).  The colors are so exciting and beautiful.
